Abstract
Biomass is a renewable source of energy, which is generated by plants. The biomass can be used for production of heat, electricity and transportation fuels. The collection of biomass is a logistic process from different source locations to energy plants. The bio-energy supply chain can be set up in diverse ways that can result in different greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions. GHG emissions have significant influence on the global climate. The research focuses on the approach to estimating the GHG emissions of the bio-energy supply chain.
