Abstract
The authors report propagation and bit error rate (BER) measurements that have been conducted within buildings using phase-locked oscillators at 60 GHz. The propagation measurements were conducted to study the envelope distribution, the power law with distance for different environments, the signal coverage, the received power spectrum, and edge diffraction effects. Measurements were also conducted to determine the BER performance in fading for FSK (frequency-shift keyed) modulation at 240 and 480 kb/s for both LOS (line-of-sight) and non-LOS conditions
