Abstract
Experience in the operation of various commercial cellular communication systems led to the consideration of cellular repeaters, of boosters, as a tool for cost-effectively solving certain coverage problems. Analysis of potential applications resulted in the formulation of design specifications and subsequent development of a successful design with adequate selectivity to prevent interference with competitive carriers. Formulation of application criteria is presented that allows for the accurate prediction of performance, and for management of the variables involved in each installation
