Abstract
Adaptive control of high order plants with low order nominal plants is examined in this paper. Robust adaptive control is considered from the following two points of view. In the first, a low order nominal plant is updated so that unmodeled dynamics becomes small. In the second, an intentional scheme of suppressing the effect of unmodeled dynamics is integrated into the adaptive control system. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is verified by simulation studies
