Abstract
In this paper, a fuzzy multiscale edge detection method is proposed, based on wavelet transform. The goal is to relate the results of this analysis to the structure of the IIR for ship target recognition. Experiments are carried out for the method with practical IIR added with white noise, and the corresponding results indicate that the advantage of the new algorithm is fuzzy multiresolution image segmentation which is similar to human vision. It is good at suppressing noise and background fluctuation
