Abstract
Smoothed-spaced pseudo Wigner-Ville distribution (SSPWD) and time overlap slide window spectrum are used to obtain a very high recognition rate for single-syllable-utterance speech recognition systems. Many modified WD spectra are defined and the reason for the high recognition rate is illustrated by examples
