Abstract
A cylindrical slot waveguide antenna is studied analytically. Externally, it is a long and thick cylindrical antenna excited by several magnetic current rings. Internally, it is a coaxial waveguide and energy is radiated outward through the slots. The slots are treated as appertures and the aperture fields are determined in terms of incident wave in the waveguide. The present excitation model adds a new dimension to the existing delta function and magnetic frill generators.
