Abstract
The following topics dealt by the 2007 IEEE conference on exploring quantifiable IT yields were: life expectancy (managing the IT portfolio of a pension administrator); methods and metrics to improve the yield of IT using the IT-CMF (an intel case study); activity based costing of IT; practicing what is preached (80-20 rules for strategic IV&V assessment); a model for measuring the relation "information value" in companies; weighing the impact of ICT on modular SMEs; a light functional dimension estimation model for software maintenance; the ROI of systems engineering (some quantitative results); choosing the best design strategy from requirements (a value-based approach); assessing the cost of outsourcing (efficiency, effectiveness and risk); measuring the business value availability.
