Abstract
We have demonstrated a high sensitivity autocorrelator by using two photon absorption (TPA) in InGaAsP rib waveguides. The TPA autocorrelation technique can measure low power picosecond pulses with peak power less than 29 mW (average power as low as 17.9 μW with repetition rate 6 MHz). Since TPA is an ultrafast nonlinear process, and the optical path length of the delay line can be controlled to within a micron, the method can in principle allow femtosecond time resolution
