  • Abstract
Analytical framework of realistic wireless channel was found essential and hence from the perspective of MAC layer the wireless channel is modeled as queuing station of type M/G(G)/1. Here the second and third G symbols represents distribution of service time of a packet and time distribution of temporary unavailability of wireless network respectively. The unavailability may be due to small scale channel fading and large scale path loss. The proposed work is on the model, which is validated against the simulation model for which the results observed were promising.
