Abstract
Bushehr Bay is situated along the north coasts of the Persian Gulf, between 28°52´ to 29°5´ north and 50°42´ to 50°52´east. In this study we employed COHERENS, which is a three-dimensional hydrodynamic model, to identify surface and under surface currents in the Bushehr Bay. The atmospheric forces and four main tidal constituents M2, S2, K1, O1 and also boundary forces have been applied in the model. The model results and observations show that the current in the Bushehr Bay is dominated by tide-driven currents.
