Research on the Coal Railway Transport Passages of Jiangsu Province

The rail transport is an important coal transport manner in Jiangsu province. The main coal resources provinces are Shanxi, Shaanxi, Henan, Shandong, Anhui and etc. After converging at Xuzhou hub, the vast majority of coal will be transported to the south by Long-Hai Railway and Jing-Hu Railway. Based on analyzing the main coal sources and transport passages outside Jiangsu province and the main coal transport passages inside Jiangsu province, the paper estimates the transport capacity of coal railway transport passages in Jiangsu province. The estimation results are shown as follows: at present in Jiangsu, the use of railway transport resources is irrational, and some lines are busy, others are free. In the future, by separation of passenger trains and freight trains, construction of the new railways, reformation of the old railways, the current transport capacity gap will be filled effectively, and the tension of coal transport will get eased.
