  • Abstract
The study focused on the evaluation of selected LGUs in Region III as regards their compliance to the Electronic Commerce Act of 2000. The LGUs are composed of provinces, cities and municipalities. These LGUs were evaluated in terms of their compliance to Part IV (Electronic Transactions in Government) of the Electronic Commerce Act of 2000. The study identified the different departments/offices utilizing electronic commerce and the devices/equipment/systems utilized by the different LGUs of Region III. It also identified the extent the LGUs utilized electronic commerce and how this affected their income. The problems encountered by the different LGUs in terms of compliance to the Electronic Commerce Act were identified and the possible solutions to these problems were proposed. In general, the results of this study revealed that the LGUs from the provinces of Aurora, Nueva Ecija and Tarlac were all rated very poor while Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, and Zambales were rated poor in electronic commerce compliance.
