  • Abstract
Previous analyses of wireless network medium access control (MAC) protocols have included capture effects and hidden terminals. This paper extends the classical equilibrium analysis of ALOHA to include the effects of spatial reuse and interference and shows capacity in terms of spatial reuse density. We examine carrier-sense schemes, with the result that carrier-sense policy should be much less “timid” than is commonly thought
