Abstract
A method is presented for underwater acoustic source parameter estimation when many multipaths exist. The method is based on an asymptotic maximum likelihood (ML) estimator in the frequency domain and an acoustic image model for the ocean. Cramer-Rao bounds are calculated and compared with Monte Carlo simulation results
