Abstract
This paper presents a cryptanalysis application for a brute force exhaustive key search on the 40 bits DES keys. For this purpose, a scalable computing system, with parallel and pipeline hardware mechanisms, with a significant number of encryption entities (with reconfigurable FPGA circuits) was developed and tested. The system high frequency clock generates high key processing rates.
