Abstract
Complex dielectric function epsiv(omega) of single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) is determined by terahertz time-domain spectroscopy from 0.2 to 20 THz. Re epsiv(omega) exhibits extremely large and positive value at low frequency, indicating the response of small gap SWNTs.
