  • Abstract
Audio-visual integral monitoring technology can improve the accuracy of environmental monitoring and target tracking. Wetland ecosystems have a rich biodiversity and a high value of ecosystem services. An audio-visual integrated wetland monitoring sensor network was researched and developed based on the self-developed embedded operation system ZKOS. This network improves the Wi-Fi CSMA/CA mechanism of long-distance wireless transmission, and it integrates professional camera and microphone devices. The network was installed in the Poyang Lake bottomland to study the bird and cow activities and the grass growth of the ecological environment by remote monitoring and to study the wetland eco-network. In this paper, the network is introduced using the example of bird monitoring. The user can open and close the network by short message of mobile phone. According to different application purposes, the network can be widely used in long-term continuous remote observations of vegetation and animal ecology on different ecosystems.
