Abstract
Through analyzing a new kind of FSK/PSK hybrid modulated signal, this paper promotes a parameter estimate algorithm. The algorithm combined the AR spectrum and Short Time Fourier Transform (STFT). It split the hybrid signal into independent Costas signals, and then figured out the parameters. The algorithm does not need to preprocess the hybrid signal by squaring, which helps keep the original SNR. Extensive Monte Carlo simulation results indicated that the algorithm has less calculation amount and higher estimation precision, which is close to the Cramer-Rao lower bound.
