  • Abstract
High-rise buildings dumping to the ground caused by blasting demolition will generate collapse seismic waves, which will influence or even damage to surround or underground construction in the course of its propagation. With the constantly increase of city buildings\´ height and volume, the increasingly complex blasting environment and the improved people\´s awareness of environment, the collapse vibration harm has drawn increasing attention. In order to study the propagation and attenuation law of collapse vibration caused by demolish blasting and the dumping effect of different size dumping ditch, taking the demolition blasting of a 32m high chimney as engineering background, the collapse touchdown course of chimney is simulated in this paper using LS-DYNA3D limited element software. Comparing the simulation results with the actual test data, the stress and deformation characteristics of chimney and soil are gained during the dumping touchdown process of the chimney. By analyzing the vibration velocity peak of the collapse seismic waves which through different dimensions dumping ditch, the factors affecting the dumping effect of dumping ditch are obtained. The study showed that: the "length" and "depth" of dumping ditch are the key factors that affect the dumping effect. The study results can provide a reference of preparing dumping measures for blasting demolition works.
