Abstract
This work presents results of no-load tests accomplished with two motor groups. Each group was formed by three identical induction motors, except for their lamination material. The motors were firstly fed by sinusoidal voltage and secondly by PWM frequency converter, at operation frequencies varying from 12 to 66 Hz in both supply conditions. After that, by means of an adaptation of IEEE-112 method, loss segregation was carried out for each condition tested and the obtained results were finally compared and discussed.
