Abstract
This paper describes an overview of recent advances in propagation modeling with some focus on contributions in characterizing challenging communications environments in urban and costal communications scenarios. MIMO capacity is estimated for typical communication scenarios, and impact of mutual coupling and wall type effects on the estimated MIMO capacities are quantified for various numbers of antenna array elements.
