Abstract
HCI evaluation has been an evolving research theme for more than two decades. The works in this area are so numerous. However, evaluators still found difficulties to inspect user interface in order to improve the quality of interactive systems. One of the evaluation difficulties remains at analyzing and interpreting the data related to the interaction between the user and the user interface. In order to facilitate such data analysis, we suggest in this paper to exploit Finite-state Automaton for analyzing and processing interaction data to evaluate user interfaces.
