  • Abstract
Various features about the application of EBG materials in printed antenna design and electromagnetic scattering are presented and methods of analysis are introduced. It is shown that a microstrip antenna with EBG or PMC surface has a larger directivity and lower side and back lobe levels. Numerical results are presented. HFSS and SEMN are used in the calculations.
