  • Abstract
    This paper discusses the use of Mobile WiMAX networks in areas with need for enhanced security and reliability characteristics, as in military, government and homeland security applications. Special considerations for planning, deployment and operation of WiMAX networks given the above operational requirements are discussed such as the choice of security options as well as deployment and maintenance tactics for such a network infrastructure.
