Abstract
The system is used for public safety, emergency 911 and service calls are answered and police officers and vehicles dispatched as required. Dispatchers and officers use the system to communicate with each other using mobile data terminals and voice, with mutual aid channels providing links with other public safety agencies. There are dedicated radio channels for voice and mobile data traffic. A computer aided dispatch system at the Sheriff Radio Centre process all incident reports and dispatches, maintaining a database with records and routing communications to and from external state and federal database and computers
