Development strategy of MIS for small and medium-sized enterprise

Due to application of the tools of fourth language and OO technology to develop MIS, the traditional MIS´s development approach is not totally suitable. The traditional system analysis and design method needs a long time to make a program and analysis, which blocks the speed of system development, moreover, the traditional prototype lacked standard designing documents. A new development strategy, presented in this paper, suits medium and small-sized enterprise in developing MIS. These design thoughts and methods are from the writer´s experiences and lessons in much MIS development work. This developing strategy divides MIS development into 4 stages: planning and designing, prototype development, general debugging, running and maintenance. This development strategy can hold the systems generally, and enter programming stage rapidly as well, and we can use visual development tools of MIS to exchange views with a consumer´s perfect pattern function
