Abstract
This paper addresses the problem of switching performance optimal control for the longitudinal model of the generic hypersonic air-breathing flight vehicle. For the widening flight envelope of hypersonic vehicle, the multiple-mode switching control is an issue that have to be considered. The approach presented makes use of the bumpless transfer technique and gives a switching performance optimal controller design method for coping with bumps and undesirable transients in multiple-mode switching systems. Simulation results for the generic hypersonic vehicle model show the effectiveness of the proposed design method.
