  • Abstract
Most rating systems proposed for service computing do not address the unfair rating problem. The shortcomings of these systems in dealing with unfair ratings allow malicious users and services gain unfair advantage. This paper proposed a service rating system that is capable of countering the malicious manipulations. The system predicts how customers rate services. The rating prediction is based on the ratings given by the similar users of the customers and the trustworthy experienced users. The proposed scheme uses a game theory-based approach in determining the trustworthiness of users. As a result, it can be more effective in filtering out potential manipulators of the system.
