  • Abstract
This paper proposes robust discriminator between bicycle rider and pusher from video sequence. There are a large number of accidents happened while riding a bicycle. The discriminator between bicycle rider and pusher is required to prevent accidents. However, previous works make no mention of the discrimination between similar shape objects such as bicycle rider and pusher. To realize the discrimination, the authors pay attention to difference of their leg movements. Bicycle rider has a pedaling movement, while pusher has a walking movement. To evaluate the difference quantitatively, we utilize CHLAC (Cubic Higher-order Local Auto-Correlation). We conduct an experiment using video sequence in order to confirm effectiveness of the proposed discriminator. In the experiment, success rate of the discrimination can be achieved more than 80%. Thus, we confirm effectiveness of the proposed discriminator.
