Abstract
An efficient performance analysis for DS-CDMA systems with inter chip interference due to the general assumption of spreading and despreading waveforms, is developed through the Gaussian approximation for an asynchronous environment. A study of not perfect chip synchronization and carrier recovery is included. Through the identification of three merit factor parameters, the systems performance is evaluated and compared, in the numerical results, for the choice of some waveforms in wrong synchronization conditions
