Abstract
This paper compares the performance of various soft-decision decoding metrics for differential amplitude phase shift keying (DAPSK) on both AWGN channels and channels with flat Rayleigh fading. The comparisons are carried out for a particular code, the (24,12) extended Golay code, and via computation of the appropriate cutoff rates
