Abstract
The volume resistivity of RTV (room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber) could be adjusted by adding conductive fillers in varying proportions. The ice coating on the surface of porcelain or glass insulator is supposed to be reduced by applying RTV silicone rubber with different volume resistivity in two different ways. Thus, the ice flashover voltage is also supposed to be increased. The reasons are discussed.
