  • Abstract
    Since 1993, the population 65 years-and-overs of the elderly in Taiwan is increasing both in absolute numbers and as a percentage of the total population. As estimate of the aging population by the Ministry of Interior Department, the aging population has risen to 10.4% of the total, and the aging-index-number is 61.5% in 1998. Although the rate of the aging population is lower than Europe, America and Japan, but it´s still higher than others Asian countries. Along with the aging population is rising time to time and it marches toward aging society at the same time. To discuss the residential units of indoor environmental quality relationship issues with the elderly is becoming the considerable and demanded subject in the further. Therefore, the study of the diagnostic estimate will focus on the Public aging-care-institutions. In the study, ones will process on the diagnostic estimate of healthy indoor environmental quality and give the valuable suggestions to improve the control technique of indoor environment and create comfortable and high quality residential space. The study is utilized the standard diagnostic process of the indoor environmental quality; in addition, the questionnaire, investigation, and site measurement of indoor environmental quality are the ways we also apply for analyze the problems. In the processing, the diagnostic processes of the standardization building doctor will be utilized in the study as well. The items of measuring will partly give increasing or reducing by each case its indoor environmental problem; in order to helpfully assess the matters of indoor environment and process on the diagnosis and give the valuable suggestions to improve the indoor environmental quality.
