Abstract
SeaMapper is a new software package providing GUI-based tools for the post-processing and display of swath mapping sonar data. SeaMapper is divided into four major components; project management, data processing, data browsing, and map display. The project management component handles the many types of information required to produce multibeam maps. The data processing component capabilities include interactive beampoint editing of bathymetry, recorded navigational data, and sound velocity profiles. The data browsing component provides a user interface for the selection of data of interest within specified boundaries. The map display component handles the presentation of processed data as plots, maps and images
