  • Abstract
    In this paper, the notion of a topologically arcwise connected set is used to extend the small-?? test to accommodate unstable perturbations, and also to provide a switching criterion between a Nyquist and an inverse Nyquist based test and possibly between different nominal models. The extensions reduce conservatism and enable a more natural application of the small-?? test.
