Abstract
A new sensorless single-drive system with PM-excited motors is described. Its inverter is directly controlled by the motor EMF and its harmonics, giving as well the motor speed, the exact rotor position for operating the motor as a brushless DC machine. The integrated microcontroller realises supervisory functions
