Abstract

The traditional way of CIMS implementation in enterprises has some difficult problems, such as lack of openness and flexibility, irreusability of legacy information resources, long system developing time and so on. Recently, the concept of platform has being supposed to solve these problems. A platform provides the methodology, the framework and a set of tools for the whole process of system integration. In this paper we present an integration platform, MACIP, which is designed to support the whole life-cycle of CIM systems. The architecture of MACIP is given, some of its important features and integrating mechanism are presented
