Abstract
Monte Carlo Potts model is one of the most important simulation technologies to study the recrystallization and grain growth of materials. In this paper the process of recrystallization and the transformation of texture are simulated by novel Monte Carlo algorithms. Based on the physical nature of grain growth, these algorithms simulate the formation of three-dimensional microstructures as well as their evolution processes in silver, and a software package for visual simulation has been constructed. The processes of texture transformation and recrystallization were also studied by the same method. The simulation gave as final result the texture {011}<;011>;, in good agreement with that obtained by EBSD analysis.
