Abstract
The radiation characteristics of splash plate feed antennas are studied numerically using the method of moments to solve an exact surface integral equation formulation. A step-by-step procedure was used to improve the radiation characteristics of the feed, resulting in several good feed designs. The feed efficiency was improved significantly. While the cross-polarization level of this feed is acceptable, it is higher than the level achieved by corrugated feeds
