Abstract
The Net and Web technologies effectively and efficiently accelerate secure e-commerce transactions by reducing what is known as the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for commercial activities that a business normally incurs. Businesses choose a keywords advertising that best describes their main Web pages. The pages are then navigated to via hyperlinks usually dropped onto the splash or home page. This method is called content-targeted advertising. However, content-targeted advertising carries the challenge of what is known as "vocabulary impedance" when there is mismatch between the vocabulary of a Web page and the vocabulary of an advertisement. We propose to use a combination of content-targeted advertising and vocabulary- impedance strategies to result in the maximization of Internet ads\´ revenues.
