Abstract
Aiming at the problem that traditional image processing equipments are bulky, high power consumption, difficult to move and costly, this paper puts forward a new idea of developing an image processing system on embedded platform, which is designed and implemented with S3C2410 for the core processor, ARM Linux for the operation system platform and MiniGui for the graphical user interface. The hardware architecture is introduced and the design, realization and operation of the software system is described in detail. The testing results indicate that the embedded image processing system is running well, strongly real-time under the conditions of relatively scarce embedded system´s hardware and software resources, and can display clear digital image processing results.
