  • Abstract
    In this paper, square, circular and hexagonal rods based Photonic Crystal filter is designed and the impact of different rods are investigated. Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method and Plane Wave Expansion (PWE) method is used for obtaining the output efficiency from transmission spectra and propagation modes via band structures of the PC respectively. The circular and hexagonal rods based PCRR contribute substantial performance than other one and hence they are more suitable to realize filters which are very essential for Integrated Optics and optical networks.
