  • Abstract
    This work presents a unique layer based, location aware routing scheme for the location based routing of nodes in MANET. Our model is based on intra-layered and inter-layered mode of communication between two or more sensor nodes. We have mathematically established the velocity required for a packet to be sent from the source node and also the correct direction in which it has to be sent so as to be received by the mobile receiver sensor node. Packet efficiency and the time taken for a packet to reach its destination are the other two important factors of our study. Our proposed scheme involves no overhead of route establishment, route maintenance and network wide searches for destination nodes through the use of location information and thus exhibits superior performance.
