Abstract
A multi-input multi-output (MIMO) controller is discussed which incorporates two features: (1) optimal gains associated with known exogenous inputs; and (2) penalties imposed both on squares of first backward differences in control actions and on control actions squared. Benefits of including both types of penalties are described. Results are derived for both the time-varying finite-time problem and the time-invariant infinite-horizon problem
