Abstract
This paper introduced fiber grating component and its application as temperature measuring system in Tianjing Power systems. The system is different from other fiber temperature measuring system, due to its stable and reliable measurement, and cost-effectiveness. Fiber silicon rubber insulator was invented to solve the problem of fiber working-frequency withstand voltage and atmospheric over-voltage, which then overcame the difficulty of temperature monitoring in enclosed switch cabinet. It also introduced the installation, operation as well as market potential of the system.
