  • Abstract
    BaP has strong toxicity. In order to learn about the environmental status in intertidal zone sediments, Tanggu, Tianjin, contents of BaP in the sediment were investigated in October, 2006. The results showed that enrichment degree was Chengtougu > Lvjuhe > Gaoshaling, the upper tidal flat > the middle tidal flat > the low tidal flat. Ecological risk assessment revealed that BaP had rarely a negative effect on the ecosystem in the intertidal zone, Tanggu, Tianjin. So the artificial source of BaP should be strictly controlled to protect from the environment in the intertidal zone.
