Abstract
This paper presents a new design methodology, featuring top-down design techniques in conjunction with an optimization process for the creation of analog or mixed signal integrated circuits. As a result, the requirements of the building blocks are specified prior to the undertaking of transistor level simulations, saving valued design time. This method has the advantage that designs can be implemented with currently used, and available tools. A design featuring a switched capacitor delta-sigma modulator is presented
