Abstract
Spasticity is one component of the upper motor neuron syndrome, which also includes motor deficits and loss of fine movement. Spasticity interferes with the patient´s natural movement or patient´s remaining functional possibilities. After a study on the independent component analysis (ICA), fast ICA algorithm method is used to restore a clear-cut thigh electromyography (EMG) and angle curves which can carry out an accurate analysis of the spasticity. The algorithm has the virtue of simple principle, quick convergence speed and obvious de-noising effect. The results of theoretical analysis and clinical findings are consistent with a high practical value.
