Abstract
The multispectral fluorescence imaging method was presented to identify the species of the cortex phellodendri chinensis pieces. The species character was obtained by the characteristic spectrum got from the spectral cube, whose images were taken for 5 nm spacing from 480nm to 680nm wavelengths by the liquid crystal spectral imaging instrument. As an experiment, ten samples came from ten different growing areas were identified. With the principal component analysis, the samples were clustered to two species. The identification results accorded well with the result by the traditional biology analysis. The testing process was nondestructive and quick.
